Uses of Hytrin 1 MG

Hytrin Tablet is used to treat hypertension.
It is also used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Contraindications of Hytrin 1 MG

If you are allergic to terazosin or any other ingredient of Hytrin Tablet.
If you have a history of fainting during or immediately after urinating. (mituration syncope).

Pregnancy

Can I take Hytrin Tablet during pregnancy?

Breast Feeding

Can I take Hytrin Tablet while breastfeeding?

You should not breastfeed your baby while on Hytrin Tablet.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Hytrin Tablet?

Hytrin may blur your vision and make you dizzy and sleepy, you should avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Hytrin Tablet?

You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking Hytrin Tablet, as it may worsen the side effects of this medicine. Talk to your doctor if you consume it often.

Other General Warnings

You experience decrease in blood pressure or loss of balance while standing up from a sleeping or siting position.
You have kidney or liver disease.
You have any heart condition.
You are on any erectile dysfucntion medicine.

Mode of Action of Hytrin 1 MG

How Does It Work?

Terazosin acts by relaxing the blood vessels and thus lowers the raised blood pressure. It also eases the urination by relaxing the bladder and prostrate muscles.

Directions for Use of Hytrin 1 MG

Take Hytrin Tablet as a whole with sufficient amount of water, with or without food.
You should take this medicine regularly at a fixed time and as directed by your doctor. Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
