Uses
- Hyocimax-S tablet is used to treat various stomach and intestinal problems such as cramps, peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome.
- It is also used to treat other conditions such as bladder and bowel control problems, pain due to cramps caused by kidney stones and gallstones, control gastric secretions, diverticulitis, colic, cystitis and pancreatitis.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to hyoscyamine or any other component of Hyocimax-S tablet.
- If you have or had glaucoma.
- If you have an obstructive condition such as bladder neck obstruction due to prostatic hypertrophy.
- If you have obstructive of the stomach and intestine.
- If you have inflammation of the large intestine (colon).
- If you have unstable heart status including internal bleeding.
- If you have myasthenia gravis.

- Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Overdose
- Excess of Hyocimax-S tablet may cause headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot dry skin, dizziness, dryness of the mouth, difficulty in swallowing and CNS stimulation (increased alertness, attention, energy and physical activity).
- If you have taken too much of this medicine then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.

Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of the Hyocimax-S tablet with dicyclomine, atropine (other antimuscarinics), amantadine, haloperidol (antiparkinson medicine), phenothiazines (anti-fit), isocarboxazid, selegiline (monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors), amitriptyline, nortriptyline (mood elevator) or cetirizine, fexofenadine (anti-allergic medicine) may increase the risk of side effect.
- Antacids such as aluminium hydroxide alter the effect of the Hyocimax-S tablet.
- Discuss with your doctor about any other medicine, herbal preparation and supplements you are taking currently to avoid any possible drug interactions.
