Contraindications of Hopace 5 MG

  • If you are allergic to the active or inactive components of Hopace 5 mg Tablet.

Pregnancy

Directions for Use of Hopace 5 MG

  • Take the Hopace 5 mg Tablet as directed by the doctor.
  • Swallow Hopace 5 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, chew, or crush it.
  • Hopace 5 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
  • For optimal pharmacological effects, take Hopace 5 mg Tablet at a fixed time every day for the prescribed duration.
  • Do not alter the dose of Hopace 5 mg Tablet without consulting with the doctor.

Interactions with other medicines

  • To avoid adverse effects associated with medicine interaction, inform the doctor about all medicines and health supplements you are currently taking.
  • Hopace 5 mg Tablet is known to interact with the following medicines:
  • Diuretics(used to control blood pressure): Possibility of excessive hypotension(fall in blood pressure)
  • Lithium: Use with caution. Lithium is used in mood disorders
  • NSAIDs(pain killers)-concomitant use may lead to increased risk of renal impairment(abnormal kidney function) and loss of antihypertensive effect
  • mTOR inhibitor(used in cancers) like everolimus; use may increase angioedema risk (swelling of face, eyes and lips)
  • Aliskiren(blood pressure medicine of the class direct renin inhibitor) in patients with diabetes or in patients with renal impairment.
