Folicam Tablet is a vitamin supplement that contains folic acid (vitamin B9) as an active ingredient. Folic acid is one of the key vitamins. It is required for many physiological reactions including DNA, protein and amino acid synthesis. Folic acid has various roles in the body. It is essential for the development of healthy red blood cells, growth and development, production of the body's genetic structure like DNA and RNA, cells, tissue growth during pregnancy, foetal development, and adolescence. It is crucial for the proper functioning of the brain. It also improves mental and emotional health. Low levels of folic acid results in mouth ulcers, numbness of extremities, tiredness, fatigue, and many more.

Uses

Folicam Tablet is used for the treatment and prevention of folic acid deficiency anaemia, characterised by weakness, fatigue, difficulty in breathing, headache, irritability and difficulty in concentration.
As a supplement to prevent nutritional deficiency during pregnancy, breastfeeding after surgery or in conditions of nutritional malabsorption.
