Medical Description
Flexura D tablet is used to treat muscle pain or discomfort caused by injury or sprain. It contains a combination of diclofenac and metaxalone, which belong to the classes of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and muscle relaxants, respectively.
Flexura D works by relaxing the muscles and blocking the production of certain chemicals responsible for pain, inflammation and swelling. Mobiswift D tablet, Myospas D tablet and Lysoflam MR tablet are some other medicines containing diclofenac and metaxalone.
Some common side effects of Flexura D tablets are headache, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, but not everybody gets them. These side effects normally go away with time, but if you feel the side effects persist, you should consult your doctor.
Flexura D tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. You should take Flexura D with or after meals to avoid stomach upset. Contraindications of FLEXURA D STRIP OF 10 TABLETS
- If you are allergic to diclofenac and metaxalone or any other ingredients of Flexura D tablet.
- If you are suffering from acidity problems, have a history of recurrent peptic ulcer or bleeding disorder
- If you have a history of stomach or intestine bleeding or perforation, relating to the previous use of pain killer (NSAIDs) medicines or if you have any liver or kidney problems.
- If you have heart problems like congestive heart failure (decreased pumping of the heart), ischemic heart disease (heart attack due to blood supply disturbance), peripheral arterial disease (a condition in which there is reduced blood flow to limbs), cerebrovascular disease (a problem in blood flow in the brain), stroke, heart attack or any other heart issues....
- If you have a history of attacks of asthma, angioedema (swelling of face, skin and tongue breathing problem), urticarial (skin redness and itching) or acute rhinitis (runny nose, sneezing, etc.)
- If you have a history of decreased blood count due to any medicines in the past
- If you have anaemia or have problems with your blood circulation
- If you are pregnant or are breast-feeding
- If you are taking aspirin or other NSAID painkillers

- This medicine should not be used in children 12 years of age.

Interactions with other medicines
- If you are taking Flexura D tablets with medicine used for psychiatric illness like Fentanyl, Methadone and Tripants, it may lead to high blood pressure, high pulse rate, increased body temperature and sweating. It is a medical emergency and the patient should rush to a nearby hospital....
