Interactions with other medicines
- Exil syrup should not be used with MAO inhibitors as it may cause serotonin syndrome
- Concomitant use of this medicine with other anti-allergic drugs like atropine, and codeine may alter the effects of this medication
- This syrup must be used with caution with antidepressants
- Using diphenhydramine with pregabalin may increase side effects such as dizziness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating
- Metoprolol, when co-administered with diphenhydramine, may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure
- Other medicines like Amitriptyline, doxepin, and ephedrine should be used with caution
