• If you are allergic to ondansetron or any of the other ingredients of Emefilm Orally Disintegrating Strip.
• If you are taking a medicine called apomorphine, which is used to treat the loss of muscle control and muscle stiffness in Parkinson's disease.

• Headache
• Constipation
• Sensation of warmth
• Flushing

Other General Warnings

• You are allergic to similar medicines like granisetron or palonosetron or any other medicine.
• You have severe constipation or have a blockage in your stomach as this medicine can affect the food transit time through the digestive tract.
• You had or have heart problems like heart failure or irregular heartbeats.
• You have any liver problems.
• You have a condition of salt imbalance in your blood or dehydration or you are experiencing fluid loss.

Interactions with other medicines

• Certain medicines affect the way the Emefilm Orally Disintegrating Strip works or this medicine itself affects the way other medicines work when taken together. Always inform your doctor about all the medicine you are taking, that includes all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements as well as other treatment if you are taking for any disorder.
• In particular, if you are taking medicines for brain and heart-related disorders, fits or epilepsy, anti-tuberculosis medicines, etc.
• You may develop irregular heart rhythm if you take medicines like Doxorubicin, Trastuzumab, antihypertensive medicine, antimalarial medicine like Halofantrine, antibiotic medicine like erythromycin and antifungal medicine like ketoconazole.
• You may develop low blood pressure and unconsciousness if you take the Emefilm tablet along with Apomorphine. Avoid taking together.
• Medicines for relieving pain like Tramadol may not work when taken along with the Emefilm Orally Disintegrating Strip.
• You may suffer from serotonin syndrome (with symptoms like high body temperature, irritation, shakiness, sweating, widened pupils and diarrhoea) including abnormal mental state when taken along with medicines used to treat mental state like Citalopram or Sertraline.
