Doxypal Dr L Strip Of 10 Capsules Description
Doxypal DR-L capsule is an antibiotic. It contains doxycycline and spores of Lactobacillus sporogenes as active substances. Doxycycline is an antibiotic and Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic, a
beneficial bacterium that is already present in the intestine of the body. Doxypal DR-L capsule is used to treat bacterial infections within the abdomen and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. This medicine works by killing the bacteria responsible for infection and diarrhoea. Lactobacillus sporogenes help in maintaining the normal bacterial flora of the gut. This medicine should be taken in the exact dose and duration as directed by the doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not miss any doses or stop Doxypal DR-L capsule on your own. You must complete the entire course of antibiotics to prevent the risk of re-infection. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history. Doxypal DR-L capsule should not be used in a child below 8-years of age as it can cause discolouration of teeth.

How Does It Work?
- Doxypal DR-L capsule contains doxycycline and Lactobacillus sporogenes as active ingredients.
- Doxycycline is an antibiotic. It stops the growth of bacteria by preventing the synthesis of proteins in them.
- Lactobacillus sporogenes are beneficial bacteria that are already present in the intestine. It supports the natural bacterial flora of the intestine and helps in digestion and absorption. Due to the overuse of antibiotics, these friendly bacteria are also killed. Lactobacillus sporogenes help in restoring the bacteria in the intestine and preventing diarrhoea associated with the use of antibiotics....
Directions for Use of Doxypal Dr L Strip Of 10 Capsules
- Take Doxypal DR-L capsule as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
- Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- Take it at a fixed time for optimal results, and do not consume more than the dose prescribed by your doctor.
- Complete the course of antibiotic medicine as prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Doxypal DR-L capsule works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Concomitant use of Doxypal DR-L capsule with antacids containing aluminium, calcium or magnesium can decrease the effect of this medicine.
- The antibiotic effect of penicillin is altered by the use of Doxypal DR-L capsules.
- Blood thinners like warfarin, when used with this medicine, can increase the risk of bleeding.
- Medicines used for psychiatric disorders such as phenytoin or carbamazepine if used along with this medicine, can reduce the anti-infective action.
- The effect of oral contraceptives may be altered by the use of this medicine. An alternative contraceptive measure should be used.
- Medicines like cyclosporine which is used to reduce the immune response should be avoided as they can interfere with the effect of this capsule.
- The use of methoxyflurane, an anaesthetic with Doxypal DR-L capsule, can result in severe toxicity in the kidney.
- Using medicines like isotretinoin along with this medicine should be avoided as there is a risk of getting side effects of former medicine.
