Doxcef Cv 200 tablet is an antibiotic medicine used for the treatment of bacterial infections associated with respiratory tract and urinary tract infections. It contains a combination of cefpodoxime and clavulanic acid. This tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in the correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed. How Does It Work?

Cefpodoxime controls the growth of bacteria and kills them by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. However, the bacteria make an enzyme (beta-lactamases) that can destroy cefpodoxime. Clavulanic acid inactivates this enzyme and hence helps cefuroxime to function optimally.
