Medical Description
Dologel is a topical gel used to treat mouth ulcers. It also relieves pain, swelling, redness, and burning sensation of the ulcers. It contains a combination of two ingredients, choline salicylate and lidocaine (also called lignocaine). Dologel is meant for topical application and should be used as directed by a doctor. It should not be swallowed. Do not use more than the recommended dose.

- You are taking aspirin or other salicylate-containing medicines as this gel already contains salicylate.
- You have a fever, headache, nausea, vomiting and sore throat after treatment with this medicine.
- Avoid contact with eyes, nose and do not swallow it while applying it in the mouth.
- Dologel can cause numbness of the tongue. Hence, care should be taken while eating or drinking hot foods.
- You experience any discomfort after the application of this gel.
- Be careful when having hot liquid or food as components of this gel numb the surface of your mouth and make it easier to burn.
Directions for Use
- Use Dologel as directed by your doctor.
- Wash your hands before and after using this medicine.
- Take a small amount of gel onto your fingertip or a cotton bud.
- Wipe it gently across the surface of your mouth ulcer.
- You should not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes after applying this gel.
- It is strictly for local (topical) application only and should not be swallowed.

- Store Dologel below 30°C in a clean and dry place.
- Keep the medicine away from children and pets.
