Medical Description

Derobin Ointment is used in the treatment of psoriasis. It contains a combination of three medicines, Dithranol, Salicylic acid and Coal tar. Derobin ointment works by decreasing skin cell multiplication and removing dead skin and helps in improving bumpy skin patches with scales.

Psoriasis is a skin disorder in which skin cells multiply faster, creating bumpy red patches covered with white scales. These patches can occur anywhere in the body, but they mostly appear on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back. These plaques may become itchy, painful, and sometimes bleed.

Use this ointment just for the conditions listed by your doctor and nothing else. This ointment is for external applications only. Before and after using this medication, wash your hands. If this ointment gets in your eyes, quickly rinse them out with fresh water. If you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or planning a pregnancy, let your doctor know before using Derobin ointment. Also, let them know about your full medical history and any additional topical medications you are taking.
