Medical Description
Darzalex solution for infusion is used in the treatment of multiple myeloma, which is a type of cancer that affects plasma cells. It contains daratumumab, an anticancer medication that targets abnormal cell growth. Darzalex solution for infusion can be administered alone or in combination with other cancer treatments.
Infusion reactions, such as a swollen face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat, along with difficulty swallowing or breathing, are common side effects of this medication. Darzalex solution for infusion may decrease the number of blood cells, particularly white blood cells, increasing the risk of infections. Therefore, regular blood tests are necessary to monitor blood cell levels while you are taking this medication. Darzalex solution for infusion is not recommended for individuals under the age of 18.
