Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

  • Daclatasvir works by blocking a protein in the hepatitis C virus called NS5A. This protein is essential for the virus to multiply and assemble new virus particles.
  • By stopping NS5A from working, daclatasvir reduces the amount of virus in the body and helps the infection clear.
