Rabesec-D SR Capsule

• If you are allergic to rabeprazole, domperidone or any of the ingredients of the Rabesec-D SR capsule.
• If you are taking any medicines which might affect the contraction of the heart muscle (QT prolongation).
• If you are suffering from bleeding in the digestive system.
• If you are suffering from liver or kidney disorders.
• If you have serious heart problems like congestive heart failure, heart rhythm problems or an electrolyte imbalance.
• If you have any tumor of the pituitary gland (Prolactin pituitary tumours).
• If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Cough
• Back pain
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Diarrhoea
• Constipation
• Stuffy nose
• Muscle pain
• Flushing

Other General Warnings

• You develop watery diarrhoea, fever after taking this medicine.
• You experience black stools.
• You have a stomach tumor.
• You have a history of fractures or have osteoporosis or taking steroids.
• You have liver and kidney disease or kidney failure.
• You have heart problems and associated symptoms like palpitations, difficulty in breathing or unconsciousness.
• You are on this medicine for more than three months. Your blood magnesium levels may drop. Your doctor may perform regular tests for the same.
• You develop skin lesions, especially in the sun-exposed area after taking this medicine.
• You are taking medicines to treat HIV.
• You have low levels of vitamin B12. This medicine is known to reduce the absorption of vitamin B12 after long term use. Supplements may be needed.
• Taking this medicine for more than one year may increase the chances of developing bone fractures.
• Rabesec-D SR capsules should not be used in children below 12 years of age.

• Store Rabesec-D SR capsule below 25°C, protected from moisture and light.
• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and pets.

• Rabesec-D SR capsule is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which occurs when stomach contents go back into the food pipe. It also helps relieve symptoms such as heartburn, chest pain, or acidity.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration of this medicine.
• Before starting Rabesec-D SR capsule, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
• Inform your doctor about all other medicines that you take and your complete medical history.
• Rabesec-D SR should preferably be taken before meals for optimum effectiveness.
• Avoid spicy and oily/fried food because they can cause excessive acidity.
• Regular exercises like walking, cycling, or swimming can enhance circulation, lessen stress, and help you keep a healthy weight.
• Additionally, limiting alcohol use and giving up smoking are recommended for improved acid reflux treatment.
• Some people who use Rabesec-D SR capsules may have nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, flatulence, dry mouth, and other side effects. If these side effects worry you or do not go away, let your doctor know.
• If you experience sleepiness after taking these capsules, avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or performing any tasks that require mental alertness.

Overdose

• An overdose of the Rabesec-D SR capsule can cause confusion, anxiety, fits, altered consciousness or sleepiness.
• If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

• If you have missed taking any dose of Rabesec-D SR capsule, take it as soon as you remember.
• If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
• Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How Does It Work?

Interactions with other medicines

• There is limited information available on the interaction of this combination with other drugs. However, as this medicine contains Omeprazole and Domperidone, any interactions seen with these two components when taken alone may occur with this combination.
• Rilpivirine should never be used with this medicine.
• Never take these medicines along with it - Disopyramide, Amiodarone, medicines for mental problems haloperidol, Citalopram, antibiotics like Erythromycin, Levofloxacin, Azithromycin, antifungals like Pentamidine, Ketoconazole and other medicines like Cisapride, Dolasetron, Mequitazine, etc.
• This medicine interferes with the action of antiviral medicines like Rilpivirine, Atazanavir and Nelfinavir and antifungals like Posaconazole, Ketoconazole and Itraconazole.
• Medicines used to treat heart failure like digoxin may lead to toxicity when taken with this medicine.
• Medicines used for mental disorders like Diazepam and Phenytoin.
• If you are taking Warfarin, caution is needed as there are chances of increased bleeding.
