Medical Description
Cypon syrup is an appetite stimulant used to treat loss of appetite and weight loss. It contains cyproheptadine, tricholine, and sorbitol. It works by inhibiting the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain that reduces appetite.
Cyprobest Plus tablet also has a similar composition as Cypon syrup.
Cypon syrup should not be used by children under one year of age. Always remember to shake the bottle well before consuming it. Take Cypon Syrup in the dosage and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose. For better results, take it at the same time every day to make it easier to remember. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications or have any medical conditions.
If you experience any other undesired effects, such as dizziness, sleepiness, dry mouth, altered coordination, or confusion, after consuming this medicine and if these symptoms worsen, contact your doctor or visit a nearby clinic.

- If you have an eye condition such as glaucoma.

- If you have an active prostate disease.

Interactions with other medicines
- Concurrent use of medicines such as tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid, selegiline with Cypon syrup can increase the action of these medicines.
- Concurrent use of antipsychotic medicines such as zolpidem, alprazolam, diazepam with Cypon syrup should be done with caution.
- Discuss with your doctor about any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid any possible interactions.
