Description

Ctd L tablet is an antihypertensive combination medicine containing losartan and chlorthalidone as its main active ingredients. Losartan belongs to the Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARBs) class of medicine, and chlorthalidone is a diuretic. It is used to treat high blood pressure and also helps to reduce other heart problems. It also helps lower blood pressure by increasing the amount of water and sodium your body removes through urine.

While taking Ctd L tablet you should follow a healthy diet and should also exercise regularly. It should be taken as directed by the doctor, in the prescribed doses and duration. It can be taken with or without food. Do not stop taking this medicine unless asked to do so by your doctor. The doctor may also suggest avoiding potassium supplements during treatment, as they may increase potassium levels in the bloodstream.

It is essential to monitor your blood pressure regularly. Your doctor may request a few kidney tests during treatment to check if the Ctd L tablet is functioning properly. You should provide a complete medical history along with a family history to your doctor before starting Ctd L tablet. Do not stop taking this medication suddenly, as it can cause health problems.

Common side effects include headache, nausea, facial swelling, increased potassium level, rash, and dizziness. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you. Before taking Ctd L tablet, inform your doctor about any existing kidney or liver problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor. Tell your doctor about all other medications you are currently taking, as they may interact with Ctd L tablet.
