Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Using other ear drops simultaneously (such as antibiotics, antifungals, or steroids) may reduce their effectiveness or increase irritation.
- Oral antibiotics or antifungal medications prescribed for ear infections can usually be continued; however, your doctor will determine whether Clearwax is necessary.
- Medicines that cause dryness in the ear canal (for example, alcohol-based antiseptic drops) may increase irritation when used in combination with Clearwax.
- Drugs that affect skin sensitivity (such as isotretinoin or other retinoids) may make the ear canal more prone to irritation when Clearwax is used.
- Since Clearwax works locally in the ear, serious interactions are rare, but it’s important to tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are using.
