Medical Description

Cifran 500 tablet is an antibiotic medicine. It contains ciprofloxacin as the active ingredient. Cifran 500 is used for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, sinusitis, infection of the skin, ear, nose, lungs, throat, stomach and urinary tract. Ciprofloxacin in tab Cifran 500 works by preventing bacterial growth and killing the bacteria. Take this medicine as suggested by your doctor. Take Cifran with meals to avoid stomach upset. Always complete the course of this or any antibiotic medicine for effective treatment of infection. Incomplete treatment may result in treatment failure and increase the risk of re-infection. Before starting the treatment with Cifran, inform your doctor about all the existing medical and medicinal history.

Cifran 500 tablet is used for the treatment of bacterial infection.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to ciprofloxacin or any ingredient of Cifran 500 tablet.
If you are taking other quinolone medicines like moxifloxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin or nalidixic acid.
If you are taking tizanidine (a medicine used to treat muscle spasm).
