Centamol Plus suspension 60ml contains two active ingredients, paracetamol, and mefenamic acid. Both of them are painkillers and belong to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines. Centa
mol Plus suspension is used in children to give relief from pain, swelling, and fever. It inhibits the release of chemical messengers in the brain that alerts us to the presence of pain. This medication is used to treat fever, signs of inflammation like redness and swelling, headache, and toothache. The dose and duration for using Centamol suspension is recommended by a doctor. You must not give Centamol suspension to your child in more and less amounts than prescribed by the doctor. This suspension can cause side effects such as rashes, itchy skin, swelling in the face or tongue, breathing problems, diarrhoea, sweating, drowsiness, etc. If you notice these problems in your child, you should seek medical advice immediately.

- Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before using

Interactions with other medicines
- Medications such as carbamazepine, barbiturates (e.g. phenobarbital), fosphenytoin, primidone, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol, increases the liver toxicity when administered along with Centamol Plus suspension...
- Metoclopramide or domperidone can speed up the absorption of paracetamol, while cholestyramine can slow it down
- The effect of warfarin and other blood-thinning could be increased by taking Centamol Suspension on a regular basis, and this is associated with an increased risk of bleeding
- Concomitant use of an anti-viral medicine called Zidovudine increases reduces metabolism of Zidovudine
- The use of anticonvulsants and oral contraceptives reduces blood levels of paracetamol
- Concomitant use of lithium decreases the excretion of lithium from the body
- Concomitant use of antidepressant medications increases the risk for stomach bleeding
- Centamol Suspension reduces the blood pressure-lowering effect of antihypertensive medicines
