Medical Description
Boletraaz tablet is a medicine that contains everolimus. Boletraaz tablet belongs to a class of medicines called kinase inhibitors (mTOR inhibitors). It is used to prevent the body from rejecting a newly transplanted kidney or liver. It is also used to manage certain cancers, including pancreatic and other neuroendocrine tumors, advanced renal cancer, advanced hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, and cancer associated with tuberous sclerosis complex.
Boletraaz tablet works by blocking a protein called mTOR that helps abnormal cells grow and divide, which helps slow tumour growth. It also suppresses the activity of the body's immune system and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.
Boletraaz tablet can cause non-infectious lung inflammation.Inform your doctor if you develop a new or worsening cough or shortness of breath. Boletraaz tablet weakens the immune system and increases the risk of infections, some of which can be serious. Report fever, chills, or any signs of infection to your doctor right away.
Boletraaz tablet can affect kidney function, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels, and can lower blood cell counts, so your doctor will monitor these at regular intervals during treatment.
