Allegra Suspension is commonly prescribed to children to relieve symptoms caused by allergic conditions such as hay fever, urticaria (hives), conjunctivitis (red, itchy eyes), and the common cold. These symptoms include watery eyes, a runny nose, sneezing, and itching.

When giving your child Allegra Suspension, follow the dosage and instructions provided by the doctor. It can be taken orally, with or without food, and may be used alone or in combination with other medications. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, wait for them to calm down and then administer the same dose again unless it is almost time for the next scheduled dose.

Although the allergic symptoms may improve after the initial few doses, your child might need to continue the medication for a week or two in cases of severe allergic reactions. Be aware of minor and temporary side effects such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, sleepiness, and headaches. These side effects usually resolve on their own, but if they persist or become bothersome, consult your child’s doctor without delay.
