How Does It Work?
Brimonidine is thought to reduce the pressure in the eyes by increasing outflow of the fluid from the eyes and reducing formation of fluids there. Timolol, too, acts by reducing formation of a fluid called aqueous humour in the eyes to reduce pressure....
Directions for Use of Abpress Pf Bottle Of 10ml Eye Drops
- Use the drops exactly as prescribed by the doctor
- Do not change the dosage without consultation with the doctor
- When using other eye drops with this medicine, leave a gap of at least 5 minutes between the two
- Do not use of the seal was broken when you bought the eyedrops
- Wash your hands before opening the bottle
- Follow the instructions on the leaflet with the eyedrop carton for administration into the eye
- Do not touch the tip of the bottle to avoid infections
- Talk to the doctor if you experience discomfort in the eye after using the drops

Interactions with other medicines
- Co-administration with other blood pressure medications like calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers, etc may increase the risk of undesirable enhanced effects
- Giving quinidine, fluoxetine, paroxetine with timolol may potentiate the heart rate decreasing the effect of timolol
- Coadministration with anaesthetic medicines may cause very low blood pressure
- The blood glucose lowering activity of diabetic medicines may be enhanced by timolol and the signs of this may be masked
- Giving adrenaline with timolol may cause pupil dilation
- Alcohol, cimetidine, hydralazine may increase blood concentrations of timolol
- Caution must be exercised when giving prazosin, isoprenaline, chlorpromazine, reserpine with this medicine
Storage and disposal of Abpress Pf Bottle Of 10ml Eye Drops
Protect the Abpress PF eyedrops from light, store at room temperature away from children. Do not use beyond the expiry date. Do not use the drops after 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
Dosage of Abpress Pf Bottle Of 10ml Eye Drops
Overdose
Excess drops are not likely to cause harm in adults. But in children or even in adults, if any discomfort is observed, reach out to the doctor.
Missed a Dose
If you forget to take a dosage, take the drops as suggested by the doctor as soon as you remember. Do not take extra doses to compensate.
