Medical Description
Abirapro 250 mg tablets contain the active ingredient abiraterone. They are used in adult men to treat prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. This medication is not intended for use by women or children. Effective contraception must be used throughout the treatment.
Abirapro contains lactose and sodium, so it's important to inform your physician if you have lactose intolerance or are on a salt-restricted diet. Please also inform your doctor if you have any liver problems, high blood pressure, heart disorders, low blood potassium levels, diabetes, allergies, or any other health conditions. Additionally, make sure to let your physician know about all medications you are taking, including supplements and herbal remedies, before starting treatment with Abirapro.
Common side effects of this medication include fluid retention in the feet or legs, high blood pressure, and diarrhoea. A decrease in red blood cell count and reduced sex drive may also occur while taking Abirapro 250 mg tablets. This medication should not be used in conjunction with Ra-223, which is also used to treat prostate cancer.
