Levosalbutamol (also called levalbuterol) is used to relieve symptoms such as c
oughing, wheezing, difficulty in breathing, chest tightness. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways leading to the lung and improves the airflow to and from the lungs. Levosalbutamol is available in the form of tablet, syrup, respule, rotacap, transcap, transhaler, transpule, metered-dose inhaler. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting levosalbutamol.
Uses of Levosalbutamol / Levalbuterol
Levosalbutamol is used to treat spasms and constriction of airways in obstructive airway disease characterised by difficulty in breathing, coughing, wheezing sound and tightness of chest.

- Especially if you are taking medicines to treat heart problems, psychiatric illnesses, asthma, diabetes or if you are taking medicines like water pills, steroids.
- Levosalbutamol should be discontinued for 6 hours before any planned dental procedures or surgeries.
- You may experience a rise in blood sugar levels if taken along with antidiabetic medicines. Your doctor may need to adjust the dose of your antidiabetic medicine.
