d bactericidal agent. It kills the bacteria that cause acne and helps in shedding the dead skin by loosening the keratin layer. Benzoyl peroxide also produces a soothing effect on the skin by retaining moisture. This medicine is meant for external use only. While using it, you should follow a healthy skincare routine. Avoid using any products that may irritate or dry out your skin. Do not use makeup, cosmetics, or other topical medicines without consulting your doctor. Use Benzoyl peroxide exactly as recommended by your doctor. It is commonly available as face wash or gel.

- You experience swelling or blistering on your skin after using this medicine.

- Benzoyl peroxide may bleach your hair, clothes, or fabrics, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after each application.
- Avoid exposure to sunlight and do not apply this medicine to damaged skin.
