Uses of Zivast L Forte Strip Of 10 Tablets
Zivast L Forte Tab is used to treat high blood pressure when it exists with increased/deranged cholesterol.
Contraindications of Zivast L Forte Strip Of 10 Tablets
- If you are allergic to atorvastatin, losartan or other ingredients of Zivast L Forte Tab .
- If you have or had liver disease, abnormality in liver function test.
- If you are being treated with medicines for hepatitis C like Glecaprevir/Pibrentasvir.
- If you are pregnant, you may be or are planning a pregnancy.
- If you are breastfeeding.
- If you have blockage a duct that takes bile from the liver to the gallbladder (obstructive biliary disorders).
- If you suffer from diabetes or kidney disorder and you have been treated with Aliskiren (a medicine used to treat high blood pressure).

- You have breathing difficulty, thyroid problem, heart disease.
- You consume alcohol regularly.
- You suffer from narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels of one or both kidneys.
- You suffer from allergic reaction like swelling of the face, lips, throat and tongue.

How Does It Work?
- Cholesterol is made by an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase). Atorvastatin inhibits this enzyme, lowers bad cholesterol levels (LDL levels), triglyceride levels and other lipids or fats in the blood. It increases the good cholesterol known as high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels....
- Angiotensin-II released in the body causes the blood vessels to narrow which leads to an increase in blood pressure. Losartan prevents the binding of Angiotensin-II to its receptors, causes the blood vessels to relax and lowers the blood pressure....
Directions for Use of Zivast L Forte Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Zivast L Forte Tab should be taken as directed by the doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It would be best if you take it regularly for optimal results and avoid consuming it more than that prescribed by the doctor.
Interactions of Zivast L Forte Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines affect the way Zivast L Forte Tab works or this medicine itself reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform the doctor regarding the medicines, supplements or herbals you take or might take to avoid possible interaction. Inform the doctor regarding a planned surgery or vaccination schedule.
- If you are using blood thinners, pain killers, antibiotics, antifungal medicines, antacids, potassium supplements, water pills, medicines to treat heart problems, cancer, hepatitis C, HIV infection, muscle spasm....
- Concomitant use of Zivast L Forte Tab along with certain medicines used for heart conditions amlodipine, digoxin, ramipril, lisinopril or aliskiren must be avoided as there can be a drastic drop in blood pressure....
Interactions with food items
- Intake of grapefruit juice must be in a limited quantity as grapefruit may alter the effect of Zivast L Forte Tab .
- Avoid high potassium-containing foods.
Storage and disposal of Zivast L Forte Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Store Zivast L Forte Tab below 25°C in the original packaging.
- Protect it from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep it away from children and pets.
Dosage of Zivast L Forte Strip Of 10 Tablets
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose are low blood pressure, increased heartbeat. If you have taken too much of Zivast L Forte Tab , contact the doctor or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
