Medical Description
Yamini tablet is used as an oral contraceptive pill for women. It is a combination pill consisting of two synthetic female sex hormones, such as drospirenone and ethinylestradiol, as the active ingredients. It works by blocking the release of the egg from the ovum and altering the lining of the uterus, making it difficult for the sperm to enter the womb.
You should take this medicine only if a doctor or a gynaecologist prescribes it. Take this medicine as directed by the doctor and for the prescribed duration. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time each day for optimal results and to minimise the chances of missing the dose.
Certain medications can interact with each other if taken simultaneously, such as immunosuppressants, medications used in diabetes and weight management, including tirzepatide (Mounjaro 2.5 injection), as well as medications for breathing-related disorders like theophylline and muscle relaxants.
Before starting the treatment, it is very important to discuss with your doctor whether you are above 35 years or have a smoking habit. Additionally, please disclose all medications, herbs, and supplements you currently take, as well as any pre-existing health conditions.
