How Does It Work?
Adrenaline works on alpha and beta-adrenergic receptors; it contracts the expanded blood vessels and improves vascular permeability on alpha-adrenergic receptors. It causes bronchial smooth muscle relaxation and helps treat difficulty in breathing and wheezing, which occurs during anaphylactic shock....

Interactions of Vasocon 1 MG/ML
Interactions with other medicines
When used with cardiac glycoside (digoxin), anaesthetics, or diuretics, this medication can cause arrhythmia.
Adrenaline should not be administered with other sympathomimetic agents for risk of increased toxicity.
Adrenaline increases blood pressure and can oppose the effects of blood pressure lowering medicines
The vasoconstrictor and pressor effects of adrenaline, may be increased when given with medicines with similar action, e.g., ergot alkaloids or oxytocin.
Alpha-blockers (phentolamine) oppose the effects of adrenaline
Patients having severe anaphylaxis on non-cardioselective beta-blockers may not respond to adrenaline injection.
Tricyclic antidepressants (imipramine) may enhance the effects of adrenaline
Adrenaline-induced high blood glucose may cause loss of blood-sugar control in diabetic patients...
Other general Interactions
Adrenaline should be used judiciously in patients with severe renal impairment, shock (other than anaphylactic shock), hyperthyroidism, severe angina, obstructive cardiomyopathy and hypertension. In addition, monitoring is required when administered in older patients, asthma, emphysema or degenerative heart disease....
