Medical Description
Tolfen capsule is a medicine that works as a pain reliever and reduces inflammation. It contains polmacoxib as the main active ingredient. It targets two specific processes in the body: it tries to lower pain and inflammation by blocking the enzyme COX-2, and it also affects carbonic anhydrase (CA). By addressing both areas, it aims to minimise heart-related side effects while also being beneficial in reducing arthritis pain.
Take as directed by your doctor. It is taken orally and may be taken with or without food, as a whole, with sufficient amount of water. Side effects may include nausea, headache and upset stomach.
