Storage and disposal

Store this powder at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in the original container and out of reach of children. The prepared solution should be used immediately as directed by your healthcare provider.

Quick Tips

  • Complete the full course of Swiftdox injections even if you feel better
  • Avoid skipping doses, as this may reduce effectiveness and increase antibiotic resistance
  • Avoid direct sunlight exposure during treatment, as Swiftdox may cause sun sensitivity
  • Use a high-strength sunscreen if you must be outdoors

Dosage

Overdose

If you have received an overdose of Swiftdox, inform your doctor immediately. Symptoms may include severe nausea, vomiting, or gastrointestinal upset.

Missed a Dose

Since Swiftdox is administered by a healthcare professional, missed doses are managed by your doctor who will reschedule your injections as appropriate.

How does this medicine work?

Swiftdox works by entering bacterial cells and blocking their ability to produce essential proteins. Bacteria require these proteins to grow, multiply, and survive. By stopping protein production, Swiftdox prevents bacteria from spreading, allowing your body's natural immune system to destroy the remaining bacteria and clear the infection.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking. Swiftdox should not be taken with antacids containing aluminium, calcium, or magnesium, or with iron or zinc supplements, as these reduce its absorption. Space these medicines at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after Swiftdox. Certain anticoagulants may have reduced effectiveness with Swiftdox.

Interactions with food items

Avoid dairy products for 2 hours after taking Swiftdox, as they may reduce its absorption. However, since Swiftdox is given by injection, food interactions are less of a concern.
