Storvas 40 tablet is a lipid-lowering medicine. Storvas contains atorvastatin commonly known as statins as the active ingredient. It is used to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the body.
Thus, it can also reduce the risk of any type of heart disease like a heart attack. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It is recommended to take this medicine preferably before going to bed. You can take Storvas 40 with or without a meal. You should avoid consuming high fat and fried meals and also maintain a healthy and active lifestyle to gain optimum benefits along with the Storvas 40 tablet.

Contraindications of Storvas 40 MG
- If you are allergic to atorvastatin or any other components of the Storvas 40 tablet.
- If you have or ever had any liver disease, any abnormality in liver function test.
- If you are being treated with medicines for hepatitis C like glecaprevir/pibrentasvir.
- If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

How Does It Work?
Cholesterol is made by the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase. Storvas 40 tablet inhibits this enzyme thus lowering the bad cholesterol levels (LDL levels), triglyceride levels and also other lipids or fats in the blood. It also increases the good cholesterol known as high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels....
Directions for Use of Storvas 40 MG
Storvas 40 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It is recommended to take it at night before going to the bed. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor....
Interactions of Storvas 40 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way the Storvas 40 tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

- HIV medications such as ritonavir with the Storvas 40 tablet can result in severe side effects.
