Storvas 40 MG Description

Storvas 40 tablet is a lipid-lowering medicine. Storvas contains atorvastatin commonly known as statins as the active ingredient. It is used to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the body.

Thus, it can also reduce the risk of any type of heart disease like a heart attack. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It is recommended to take this medicine preferably before going to bed. You can take Storvas 40 with or without a meal. You should avoid consuming high fat and fried meals and also maintain a healthy and active lifestyle to gain optimum benefits along with the Storvas 40 tablet.

Storvas 40 tablet is used to lower your cholesterol levels, triglyceride levels (such as fat in the blood) and prevent any heart problems like a heart attack.

Contraindications of Storvas 40 MG

If you are allergic to atorvastatin or any other components of the Storvas 40 tablet.
If you have or ever had any liver disease, any abnormality in liver function test.
If you are being treated with medicines for hepatitis C like glecaprevir/pibrentasvir.
If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
HIV medications such as ritonavir with the Storvas 40 tablet can result in severe side effects.
Erythromycin (antibiotic) taken with the Storvas 40 tablet can result in increased side effects.
It should be ensured that fusidic acid is taken in a proper gap with this medicine, a minimum gap of seven days is advised.

Interactions with food items

Consumption of grapefruit juice during treatment with the Storvas 40 tablet must be limited to avoid any side effects.
