Silodal D8 capsule is used to manage benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH, also called benign prostatic hyperplasia). It is a common condition in older men with an enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate gland is a part of the male reproductive system and is located below the bladder.
Common symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy include incomplete emptying of the bladder, trouble passing urine, frequent need to pass urine and a weak urine flow. Silodal D8 capsule contains a combination of silodosin and dutasteride as its main components. It works by relaxing the bladder muscles and shrinking the enlarged prostate, which helps to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy.
This medicine is not meant to be used to treat prostate cancer. Take Silodal D8 capsule in the exact dose and duration as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting treatment with this medicine, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history.

- If you are taking medicines like ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, or cyclosporine. if you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.

- If you forget a dose of Silodal D8 capsule, take it as soon as you remember it.
- However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose.
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

- Antifungal medicines such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, immunosuppressant medicine such as cyclosporine, and antiviral medicine such as ritonavir should be avoided with Silodal D8 capsule.
- Concomitant use of blood pressure-lowering medicines should be done with caution, as it may lead to excessive lowering of blood pressure.
