Rosycap Asp 10/150mg capsule 10s contains rosuvastatin and aspirin as the active molecules. It is used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood and reduce the risks of heart diseases. Rosuvastatin works on the liver and slows down the cholesterol production. This helps to reduce the amount of cholesterol accumulation in the blood vessels. Furthermore, aspirin prevents blood clotting by inhibiting platelet aggregation. Rosycap Asp 10/150mg capsule is available on doctor's prescription and should be used at a dose and for a duration prescribed by a doctor. This medicine is not used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or if you are suffering from liver problems, kidney problems, gout, thyroid problems, peptic ulcer, blood-clotting disorders, myopathy, or hereditary muscular disease. - Take the medication for the duration and dose as prescribed by the doctor
- Do not chew or break the capsule in half
- Take it with or without food as advised by the doctor
- Swallow the capsule as a whole with a glass of water
Interactions of Rosycap Asp 10/150mg Capsules 10'S
Interactions with other medicines
- Transporter protein inhibitors interact with rosuvastatin and increase the risk of myopathy (affects muscle movements)
- Concomitant use of gemfibrozil, ciclosporin, ezetimibe, or protease inhibitors results increased blood levels of rosuvastatin
- Concomitant use of erythromycin results decreased blood levels of rosuvastatin
- Antacids decrease the blood levels of rosuvastatin and aspirin
- Ticagrelor affects excretion of rosuvastatin which increases the risk of rosuvastatin accumulation in the body
- Methotrexate interacts with this medication and enhances toxicity in blood
- Concomitant use of anticoagulants like coumarin, heparin, warfarin, and alteplase is not recommended as it increases the risk of bleeding
- Uricosuric agents should be avoided, as aspirin reverses the effects of these medications
- Concomitant use of antidiabetics is prohibited with salicylates as they may increase the blood sugar-lowering effect of antidiabetics
- Concomitant use of alcohol, clopidogrel, ticlopidine, cilostazol, dipyridamole, sertraline. or paroxetine increases the risk of bleeding in the digestive system
- Concomitant use of phenytoin and valproate reduces blood levels of these medicines
- Aspirin raises the toxic effect of tacrolimus and ciclosporin in kidneys
- Concomitant use of metamizole or ibuprofen reduces the effect of aspirin
- Concomitant use of corticosteroids increases the risk of stomach bleeding and ulcers
- Concomitant use of acetazolamide increases toxicity in brain and causes severe acidosis
- Concomitant use of diuretics increases risk of kidney failure
- Concomitant use of medicines used to control blood pressure decreases the functioning of kidneys
- Aspirin raises blood levels of digoxin and lithium
- Aspirin reverses the effects of probenecid and sulfinpyrazone
