Rosuvas 5 MG Description

Rosuvas 5mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat high blood cholesterol levels and to prevent heart attack and stroke. It belongs to a group of medicines called statins. Statins work by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which your body uses to make cholesterol. This lowers the amount of cholesterol in your blood. Rosuvas 5mg Tablet can be taken by adults and children aged 6 years and over.

It is important to take Rosuvas 5mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than the dose prescribed, and do not take it for longer than prescribed. Rosuvas 5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food. It is best to take it at the same time each day to help you remember to take it.

The most common side effects of Rosuvas 5mg Tablet are headache, dizziness, stomach pain, constipation, nausea and muscle pain. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own. However, if any of these side effects are severe or do not go away, tell your doctor.

Before taking Rosuvas 5mg Tablet, tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements. Rosuvastatin can interact with other medicines and cause side effects.
