Remo-M 500 tablet is a combination medicine used in adult patients for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus along with diet & exercise. It contains metformin and remogliflozin etabonate as its active components. This medicine should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Before starting Remo-M 500 tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

Contraindications of REMO M 500MG STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

If you are allergic to metformin, remogliflozin etabonate or to any of the other ingredients of Remo-M 500 tablet.
If you have problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys
If you have uncontrolled diabetes
If you are suffering from any conditions - diabetic pre-coma or coma
If you have lactic acidosis (a condition causing too much acid in your body)
If you have a diabetes complication - diabetic ketoacidosis
If you suffer from conditions that may alter kidney parameters like dehydration, shock, or sever infection.
If you are an alcoholic or consume alcohol regularly.

Can I drive if I have consumed Remo-M 500 tablet?

There is limited information about the effects of Remo-M 500 tablet on driving
However, if you experience dizziness, unconsciousness, confusion and increased sweating (symptoms of low blood sugar levels), you should take extra care when driving.
Keep a juice or chocolate handy while driving, in case you start experiencing any of these, immediately have it.
Do not consume sugar-free during such episodes.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Remo-M 500 tablet as it affects your blood sugar.

Talk to your doctor if

You have problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys
You experience muscle pain, stomach pain, vomiting, breathing difficulty, and low body temperature. This could be a serious condition known as lactic acidosis.
You experience nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, confusion, unusual tiredness or sleepiness, confusion, and excessive thirst. could be a serious condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis.
You experience urinary tract infection after taking this medicine.
You are scheduled to undergo any major surgery

Directions for Use of REMO M 500MG STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

Remo-M 500 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
Swallow it whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
It should be taken with your meals to reduce stomach discomfort.
It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
You should not consume more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Store in a clean and dry place, protected from moisture, sunlight and heat.
Keep the medicine away from children and pets.

Overdose

Symptoms of an overdose may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, gas. Seek urgent medical attention in case of an overdose.

Missed a Dose

If you have missed taking any dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember.
However, if it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule.
Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

Mode of Action of REMO M 500MG STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

How Does It Work?

Remo-M 500 tablet works by the combined action of metformin and remogliflozin etabonate.
Metformin works by decreasing the amount of glucose absorbed from the intestine, lowering the amount of sugar created by the liver, and facilitating the entry of sugar into the cells.
Remogliflozin acts by inhibiting glucose reabsorption and increases blood glucose excretion through urine. Thereby, helping in decreasing blood glucose levels in the blood.
