Medical Description
Rahika tablet contains capmatinib, a targeted cancer medicine that blocks specific signals involving MET proteins that cause cancer cells to grow and spread. By blocking these signals, it stops the growth of lung cancer cells that carry a specific genetic mutation.
Rahika tablet is widely used to treat advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with MET exon 14 skipping mutations.
Common side effects of Rahika tablet include swelling in the legs or hands (edema), nausea, fatigue, vomiting, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, constipation, diarrhea, and abnormal liver or kidney blood tests.
Seek prompt medical attention if you experience new or worsening breathing problems, fever, or cough (signs of lung inflammation); signs of liver problems such as yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice), dark urine, or upper right stomach pain; severe skin reactions; or sudden, severe swelling in your legs.
Rahika tablet comes as tablets taken by mouth under the supervision of a qualified medical oncologist.
