Medical Description
Rablet D capsule is an anti-reflux medicine containing a combination of two medicines - rabeprazole and domperidone. This capsule is used for the treatment of acid reflux disease, also known as GERD (gastrointestinal reflux disease). Some other capsules containing rabeprazole and domperidone are Razo D capsule, Rabekind DSR capsule, Rabesec DSR capsule, and Rabium DSR capsule.
GERD is a condition in which acid from the stomach comes back up to the food pipe and causes heartburn, belching, nausea and chest pain. It decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach and improves mortality in the gut, thus reducing the backflow of stomach content to the food pipe.
Please report to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen. Try to take Rablet D first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or at least 1 hour before the meal. Before taking this medicine or initiating the treatment, let your doctor know about your detailed medical and medication history.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Rablet D capsule works by the combined action of two of its components rabeprazole and domperidone.
- A pump called the proton pump in the stomach is responsible for the secretion of stomach acids. Rabeprazole binds to this proton pump in stomach cells, thus blocking acid secretion.
- Domperidone increases the motility of the stomach and intestines so that acid does not reflux back into the food pipe.
Interactions

- Certain medicines can affect the way Rablet D works or this medicine itself can affect the action of other medicines taken along. Hence, it's important to inform your doctor about your complete medication history.
- Especially if you are taking anti-infective medicines, medicines for brain-related disorders, medicines for heart conditions, anti-coagulants, etc. Rablet D interferes with the action of antiviral medicines like rilpivirine, atazanavir and nelfinavir and antifungals like posaconazole, ketoconazole and itraconazole.
