Rabekind 20 MG Description
Rabekind-20 tablet is an acid-reducing medicine that is used to treat acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine like heartburn, ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Zollinger-
Ellison syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when the stomach acid rises into the food pipe causing inflammation and a burning sensation. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a condition where the stomach makes extremely high amounts of acid. Rabekind-20 tablet contains rabeprazole as the active substance that works by reducing the amount of acid made by the stomach. Rabekind-20 tablet should only be used in adults above 18 years of age. Take this medicine exactly as recommended by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Rabekind-20 tablet should be taken preferably in the morning before meals.

Uses of Rabekind 20 MG
- Rabekind-20 tablet is used for the treatment of diseases related to stomach acid like stomach/intestinal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
- It can also be used for the treatment of H.pylori infection in patients with peptic ulcer disease.
Contraindications of Rabekind 20 MG
- If you are allergic to rabeprazole or any other ingredient of Rabekind-20 tablet.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Other General Warnings
- You are allergic to other proton pump inhibitors or substituted benzimidazoles like esomeprazole.
- You have a stomach tumour.
- You have or had liver problems.
- You are taking a medicine called atazanavir to treat HIV infection.
- You have low levels of Vitamin B12 in your body.
- You are scheduled to have a blood test called Chromogranin A.
- You had a skin reaction after treatment with a medicine similar to Rabekind-20 that reduces stomach acid.
- You develop rashes, especially in areas exposed to the sun.
- You develop blood disorders after using Rabekind-20 tablet.
- You develop symptoms like tiredness, dizziness, fits/seizures after using Rabekind-20 tablet for long periods.
- You take a medicine called digoxin for the treatment of heart failure or diuretics (furosemide, chlorthalidone) for the treatment of high blood pressure.

- Take this medicine as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Interactions of Rabekind 20 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Rabekind-20 tablet works, or Rabekind-20 tablet itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Use of Rabekind-20 tablet along with medicines used for the treatment of HIV infections (atazanavir, ritonavir) should be avoided as it may decrease the effectiveness of these medicines.
- The use of Rabekind-20 tablet with medicines for treating fungal infections (ketoconazole) may decrease the levels of antifungal medicine in the body.
- Care should be taken when taking medicines for treating cancer (methotrexate).
