Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

  • Concurrent administration of Polytuff with curariform muscle relaxants or neurotoxic medicines like ether, tubocurarine, succinylcholine, gallamine, decamethonium, sodium citrate may cause respiratory depression
  • Co-administration of polymyxin B with streptomycin, kanamycin, tobramycin, bacitracin, neomycin, gentamicin, etc. should be avoided

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Dosage should be continued for the entire period prescribed by the doctor and not stopped any time before.

Diarrhoea often stops when the therapy is stopped. However, if it occurs two or more months after taking the last dosage of the medicine, consult your doctor immediately.

In such as case, it will not provide any benefit to the patient but it increases the risk of developing resistance in the bacteria and makes therapy with antibiotics in the future difficult.

Common cold is caused by virus infection and not bacteria. Therefore, this medicine will not be effective in treating the cause.
