Medical Description
Oxemia tablet contains desidustat, which is known as anti-anemics. It is used to manage anaemia associated with chronic kidney disease. This medication works by stimulating your body to release a hormone called erythropoietin, which helps regulate the production of red blood cells in your body. It's important to use Oxemia tablet under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Avoid taking Oxemia tablet if you are allergic to desidustat or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Oxemia tablet. Discuss any pre-existing medical conditions with your doctor before starting this medication. During treatment with Oxemia tablet, your doctor will recommend regular blood tests to monitor electrolyte levels such as potassium, haemoglobin, and blood cells to assess improvements in your health.
The most common side effects of Oxemia tablet include abdominal pain, vomiting, headache, fever, weakness, and peripheral oedema. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

These individuals may experience anaemia earlier and more severely than those with CKD without diabetes.
