Osil Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used for the for the treatment of piles. Piles is also known as haemorrhoids, is a condition usually characterised by swollen veins around the anus that cau

ses itching, pain while passing stools or blood in stools. This medicine contains Calcium dobesilate and Troxerutin as its active ingredients. Along with taking this medicine you should be having food rich in fibre, drinking plenty of water, not sitting for too long or straining while bowel movements. You should take Osil Plus Tablet only if it is prescribed by your physician. The doctor will decide the dosage and duration depending upon the age and severity of the disease.

Avoid binge drinking and smoking and drink plenty of water.

A: Generally, your doctor will give you instructions for what duration you have to take this medicine and this duration may extend even after your symptoms go away. It is suggested not to stop the treatment even if your symptoms go away unless your physician tells you to do so.

A: No, you should not take too much of this medicine or more than what prescribed as an overdose can cause side effects or worsen your condition.

Q: What other things can I do to care for piles?

A: Along with medication, your doctor will advise some diet and lifestyle changes (like adequate sleep and plenty of exercises) and sitz or hot tub bath. In a sitz bath, you fill the tub with warm water up to 4-5 inches of the tub and sit in it for about 15-20 minutes. It helps to ease the pain, itching, discomfort due to piles.
