Medical Description
Uses
- Seizure disorders like epilepsy and panic disorders.
- Acute mania.
- Panic disorder (Panic attacks are sudden, unreasonable feelings of fear and anxiety that cause physical symptoms like a fast heartbeat and sweating).
- Monotherapy (treating a disease with a single medicine) or adjunctive therapy (treatment with multiple medicines).
- Restless leg syndrome.
- Insomnia.
- Tardive dyskinesia.
- REM (Rapid eye movement).
- Sleep behaviour disorder bruxism (teeth grinding).
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Clonazepam or any other ingredients of the tablet Ona Tablet.
- If you are already taking a tablet for a previous history of seizures with the same mechanism of action but different medicines.
- If you are taking medication for any skin infections, such as ketoconazole and itraconazole as it may cause hypersensitivity reactions (avoid using the tablet for at least 14 days).
- If you have diabetes, bleeding tendencies, bradycardia ( slow heartbeat), recent, decompensated heart failure, electrolyte disturbances (e.g. hypokalemia), and metabolic disease.
- If you have undergone recent heart surgeries.
- If you have renal or liver problems.
- If you have acute closed-angle glaucoma.

Other General Warnings
- You have hepatic or renal impairment.
- You have compromised respiratory function, such as cases of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), obstructive sleep apnea, etc.
- You have a history of any other mental or mood problems (e.g., depression), alcohol dependency or other substance abuse or dependence. If you are in poor health, overweight, or are experiencing abnormal muscle movements.
- Do not increase the dose even if you think the medication is not working without consulting your doctor.
- Due to severe emotional and physical dependence, some patients may find it very difficult to discontinue treatment with Ona Tablets. Discontinuation symptoms such as seizures can occur if the medication is abruptly discontinued.
Directions for Use
- Take the Ona Tablet as a whole with a glass of water or as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole.
- Do not crush, chew or break it.
- It can be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- The dosage and duration depends on the disease of the individual, the patient’s age and medical history. Ona Tablets can cause dependency and thus should be taken with proper prescriptions.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Do not take this tablet if you are already taking another medication such as linezolid, i.e. Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors( MAO), as it may enhance the effect of the tablet and can cause severe complications.
- Increased risk of bleeding tendencies with anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin), antiplatelet agents (e.g. ticlopidine, aspirin, dipyridamole), antipsychotics, and NSAIDs.
- Increased risk of seizures with other antidepressants (e.g. other Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors).
- Enhanced hypoglycemic effect of antidiabetic agents, so if you are a diabetic, you should consult the doctor before taking medicine.
