Uses
- Omee Orange Tab tablet is useful in conditions like
- ‘Gastro-esophageal reflux disease’ (GERD) a condition where acid
- from the stomach escapes into the food pipe (the tube which connects
- your throat to your stomach) causing pain, and heartburn.
- Ulcers in the upper part of the intestine (duodenal ulcer) or stomach (gastric ulcer).
- Ulcers which are infected with bacteria called ‘Helicobacter pylori’ along with an additional antibiotic medicine.
- Ulcers caused due to other medications. Too much acid in the stomach caused by a growth in the pancreas (Zollinger-Ellison syndrome).
- To prevent bleeding from the upper gastric area
Contraindications
- Do not take Omee Orange Tab: If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the composition of Omee Orange Tab or any of the other ingredients
- If you are allergic to medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors (e.g. pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, esomeprazole)
- If you are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (used for HIV infection).

- The side effects of Omee Orange Tab can include
- Headache
- Constipation
- Diarrhoea and stomach ache
- Nausea, vomiting
- Itching and rashes due to allergy,
- Difficulty in breathing
- Irregular heartbeat
- Fatigue, tiredness
- Increased risk of infections, especially on long term use.
- Sleep disturbance
- Taste changes
- Low levels of sodium in the blood (rare)
- Joint pains (arthralgia) or muscle pains (myalgia)
- Hair loss (alopecia) (rare)

- confusion
- drowsiness
- blurred vision
- rapid heartbeat
- nausea
- vomiting
- sweating
- flushing (sudden rushing feeling of warmth)

- Seek emergency medical attention immediately.

- Omee Orange Tab usage can influence effectiveness of certain drugs like-
- Drugs such as warfarin, clopidogrel, digoxin, cyclosporine, phenytoin, ketoconazole, voriconazole, and iron supplements.
- Drugs given in HIV patients (such as nelfinavir/tenofovir/ atazanavir, rilpivirine, etc.), and medications like methotrexate and erlotinib are known to show interactions.
- So ,make sure to inform your doctor if you are on any of the above medications.
