Okacet 10 MG Description
Okacet tablet is an anti-allergic medicine containing cetirizine as the active substance. It is used for the management of symptoms such as runny and stuffy nose, blockage in airways, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, hives and other allergic symptoms (allergic rhinitis). Cetzine 10 tablet, Cetcip 10 tablet, Alerid 10 tablet, Zyrtec 10 tablet and Incid L tablet have cetirizine as the active substance.
Allergic rhinitis is an allergic response to allergy-producing substances like pollen, dust or mould. It causes irritation in the nose/throat and symptoms like sneezing, wheezing, etc. Allergic rhinitis is a common condition that affects an individual’s quality of life and if left untreated may contribute to other conditions like asthma, otitis media and sinusitis. This medicine works by blocking the production of chemicals responsible for producing symptoms of allergy.
Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Your doctor may recommend you to preferably take Okacet tablet at bedtime, as it may cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components. You should be cautious while driving after taking Okacet tablet as it may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.
