Medical Description
Oflox OZ tablet is an antibiotic used for treating diarrhoea caused by mixed infections in adults. It is a combination medicine containing ofloxacin and ornidazole as active ingredients. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and killing the bacteria that cause infection.
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of your treatment with this medicine. The dose and duration will vary depending on the severity of the infection and other individual parameters. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in the doses and duration prescribed.
Completing the course of antibiotic medicine as prescribed by the doctor is essential. Do not miss any dose. Do not stop taking this medicine alone, as it can lead to antibiotic resistance and the recurrence of infection.
Before starting this tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Also, inform about your detailed medical history & the medicines and supplements you take.
A few more tablets containing ofloxacin and ornidazole are Nor Metrogyl Plus tablet, Zenflox Oz tablet, Zanocin Oz tablet, Healing O2 tablet and Ornof Oz tablet.
