Medical Description
Oflomac-M Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat diarrhoea and dysentery. It contains a combination of Metronidazole and Ofloxacin as its active ingredients. Oflomac-M works by preventing the growth of microorganisms that cause infection. Oflomac-M Tablet may cause some side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite and headache. To manage these side effects, eat a healthy, balanced diet and drink plenty of fluids. If any side effects become severe, contact your doctor immediately. If you experience any allergic reaction (e.g., rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath), consult your doctor immediately.
It is important to take Oflomac-M Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Take it with or without food but at the same time each day to ensure better effectiveness. Do not take more than the recommended dose, as an overdose can be harmful. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Complete the full course of treatment, even if you start to feel better, to ensure a complete recovery. Metrogyl O tablet also contains a combination of Metronidazole and Ofloxacin as its active ingredients.
Before taking Oflomac-M Tablet, tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems or if you are taking any other medications. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult with their doctor before taking Oflomac-M Tablet. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Oflomac-M Tablet, as it can cause excessive dizziness. If you are known to be allergic to Oflomac-M Tablet, do not take it and consult your doctor.
