Oflomac 100mg Tab composition is ofloxacin which belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones. They are antibiotics used in the treatment of various bacterial infections.

Uses of Oflomac 100mg Tab

Oflomac 100mg Tab uses include treatment of skin infections, urinary tract infection, infection of stomach and intestine, respiratory tract infection, and of male and female genital organs infections. It is also used in the treatment of an infection caused by chlamydia or gonorrhea.

  • Patients with allergic reaction to ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin or norfloxacin
  • Patients with epilepsy
  • Fits
  • Tendonitis
  • Minors (age below 18 years)

  • Patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (genetic disorder)

Side effects of Oflomac 100mg Tab

Oflomac 100mg Tab side effects include fits, mood swings, depression, hallucination. Also serious permanent nerve and tendon damage, increased pressure changes in the skull (vision disturbance, headache), liver disorders, mucus, bloody diarrhea, nausea, fits, yellow discoloration of eyes, nails, and skin, dark-colored urine and clay colored stools, increased heart rate, chest pain, skin reactions and allergic reactions. Also, altered mood, behavioral changes, depression, hallucination, paranoia, tremors, insomnia, and nightmares.

Pregnancy

The medicine passes through breast milk and can harm the infant, and hence should not be taken during breastfeeding.

Driving

Ofloxacin can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Therefore, it is not advisable to drive after taking the medicine.

Alcohol
