Nodict 50mg Tablet
Nodict 50 MG Description
Nodict Tablet is used to treat dependence on alcohol and opioids in adults above 18 years of age. It is used as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes medicinal treatment, psychologic
al counselling, and social support for persons who have undergone a period of abstinence from taking opioids and alcohol. This medicine contains naltrexone which is an opioid antagonist. Nodict Tablet blocks those centres in the brain which produce feelings of excessive excitement after taking opioids or alcohol. This causes a decrease in the urge to take opioids or alcohol. However, after stopping opioids and starting treatment with Nodict, the centres in the brain become more sensitive to the effects of opioids. This leads to an exaggerated response to the pre-treatment dose of opioids and may cause life-threatening consequences if taken in a similar dose. Side effects of Nodict Tablet include nervousness, anxiety, inability to sleep, headache, stomach pain, vomiting and weakness. Treatment with Nodict does not lead to dependence on it.
