Alcohol dependence is a medical condition characterised by current or past history of excessive drinking, a strong craving for alcohol and an inability to control alcohol consumption despite having problems with drinking. Naltima 50mg Tablet contains Naltrexone as their active ingredient. Naltrexone belongs to the class of medications called 'opioid-antagonist'. It works by blocking the effect of opioid receptors that decrease cravings and urges to use alcohol or opioids Naltima 50mg Tablet dosage and duration should be as advised by your doctor. There are also many side effects associated with this medicine, so it is advised to take it after the doctor’s consultation, and dosage must be carefully monitored. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Naltima 50 MG
- Take Naltima Tablet exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
- Take this medication on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
- Take the medication as a whole with a full glass of water. Do not break the capsule or chew this medicine.
- You can take the Naltima Tablet before food or after as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage as it can lead to overdose.
- Do not stop using it abruptly, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Interactions with other medicines
- Interaction with high dose opioids with Naltrexone can lead to life-threatening opioid poisoning from respiratory and circulatory impairment.
- Interaction with Methadone in substitution treatment increases the risk of the onset of withdrawal syndrome.
- Interaction with antidepressants (amitriptyline, doxepin, trimipramine), antipsychotic (thioridazine), antibiotics (clarithromycin), anti-rheumatic (leflunomide), sedative (droperidol), Opioid (codeine), Central antihypertensives, (alpha-methyldopa) etc., can also cause some severe side effects....
