• Palliative treatment of multiple myeloma.
• Palliative treatment of advanced ovarian adenocarcinoma.
• Conditioning treatment prior to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).

• If you have a known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reaction to melphalan or any of the inactive excipients in the tablet formulation.
• You have severely reduced blood cell counts or severe bone marrow suppression, unless specifically advised by your specialist.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and loss of appetite
• Mouth sores
• Hair loss
• Fatigue and weakness
• Severe infections due to low white blood cell counts
• Severe or prolonged reduction in blood cell counts
• Unusual bruising or bleeding
• Severe allergic reactions
• Liver problems or jaundice
• Rare lung problems
• Infertility, which may be temporary or permanent
• Secondary cancers, including leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome
• Seek medical attention promptly if you develop fever, chills, unusual bleeding or bruising, breathing difficulty, severe mouth sores, or signs of an allergic reaction.

Other General Warnings

• You develop fever, chills, or other signs of infection.
• You have unusual bruising or bleeding.
• You develop severe or persistent mouth sores.
• You have difficulty breathing or a persistent cough.
• You have a history of kidney, liver, or bone marrow problems.
• You are concerned about fertility or future pregnancy.

• Take Melfalax tablet orally exactly as prescribed by your doctor, following your specific treatment cycle schedule.
• Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water; do not crush, split, or chew them.
• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding food.
• Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

• Store the tablets in a refrigerator at 2-8°C in their original packaging to protect them from light and moisture.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets in a secure location.
• Do not keep expired or unwanted tablets; return unused medicine to your pharmacist or hospital clinic for safe disposal.
